Our award winning process has over 20+ years of proven delivery and experience. We have created a bespoke set of services and processes that allow our clients to be fully involved, to be fully informed but also to be able to create the most out of their home for the best value and to maximise the way they live. Our homes are important... and with our processes we make sure that your project is a success, no matter how small, how large or how complicated.
Our Process
The 6 Simple Steps to Success...
At nse we believe that a simplified process is what our clients need and that the quality should exceed their expectations. Making changes to your home is probably the most expensive decision of your life, after initially buying your home, so we make sure that your asset is protected every step of the way through clear process.
The Site Visit...
Once you’ve registered your interest and we’ve discussed your project normally by telephone, we will arrange to come and talk through your project in person and to help you understand the best opportunities for developing your project.
At this stage we will also explain the full process, the costs involved at all stages of the project and also the timeframe for all of the following stages. We also gather any information such as surveys, the clients brief, your aims and any special requirements.
Budget...
Most important is guiding you on a budget. We will ask your target budget when we first meet, and we will be clear if your aspirations can fit into a target budget, or what can be achieved with the budget.
Through the design stage, with advice from builders and on larger projects, a QS, ensure that your budget target is maintained.
At the end of the design process we will then tender your project and if budgets are impacted, assist in any value engineering required.
The Design Stage...
This is probably the most exciting stage other than stage 6 - "moving into your new space".
Our service provides you a proven design experience where we use 3D models, cad drawings, Virtual Oculus and if needed 3D printing to help you be part of an ongoing design process.
In this process we help you be completely part of it and you will never of thought how important you actually are in creating the finished design.
We make your input a fun and rewarding experience.
Getting Approvals...
Once design is complete and we have carried out another cost check for you, we guide you through the Planning or Building Regulations approvals stage.
We even upload the drawings for you, we track the applications and we will actively engage with the planning officers to help secure the result you want... an approval.
Construction...
This is probably the most daunting stage for a client, but once we have helped you appoint a contractor,, we will ensure that the construction works are supervised and supported and that any impact on your home life during the works is managed and impact reduced, to help your daily family life run as smooth as possible.
We ensure that the Building Control Officers are informed and that your Final Certificate is provided before you make the final payment to the Builder.
Aftercare...
Once the builder has left your new home is ready to be enjoyed and your family are ready to experience the dream you wanted.
However learning how to live with new technology, to be energy efficient or to address an issue where the builder or a product needs attention, (what we call a Snagg), we will make sure that your final concerns are listed too, supported and addressed.

How We Guide You Through the Design Process.
BIM 3D Models
On all of our projects we use BIM and 3D Modelling tools to help our clients experience every detail of the project from planning of areas, detailed use of a kitchen layout or the options of how a building extension will work with the existing house.
Design Reports
We publish at each decision stage a Design Report that will act as a record of how the ideas and how your project has developed, but also allow our clients to review if the design has captured all of their needs and brief.
Planning, Building Regulations and Finding you a Builder.
Our experience lets us guide you through the planning process, and after we get your Planning Application we will detail the project for the Building Regulations Process, the stage where the construction detail is added and allows us to get an accurate price off local builders who we can then tender and appoint for you.
Our Fixed Fees.
Pay for a Service.. not just a drawing..
At nse we believe in making sure that you are informed. We are so proud of our work and that our clients have often mentioned, "they got a service and an experience, not just a set of drawings", so we stand by our fees. Yes, you can buy a set of plans on line, from a person you will never see, but will they give you the service you deserve and will they make sure that your home and your brief has been listened to, guided and delivered?
Initial Consultation.
FREE.
We offer initial advice when we first meet you, and during Covid 19,we can offer this advice via zoom or MS Teams, helping you know what you can achieve.
Stage 1: 1 Storey Extension/ Remodel
£1200.00
We take your Projects up to Planning Submission in this stage, including Interior Layouts, a full drawing package and if needed 3D models, including submitting your Applications.
Stage 1: 2 Storey Extension/ New House
£1200.00 - £2500.00 (for a major house)
Weather building a major extension or building a new home, designing it correctly will save you 1000's. When we design your home, we leave no corner untouched. That takes time and skill.
Stage 1: Garden House
£1400.00
We have designed many Garden Homes and gained planning applications for our clients.
Stage 1: Attic Conversion
£1000.00
Attic Conversions can differ greatly and through our 3D Modelling service we help guide you through the best use of the space with a planning application or a Certificate of Lawfullness9
Garden Designs
£400.00
It is often hard to visualise what a Garden Design can look like, however our 3D Modelling including plant selection and tender drawings will help you enjoy the second part of our homes... the part beyond our window.
Stage 2 Fees
Stage 2 is all of the detailed and construction services that a client will need once they have planned, modelled and achieved a planning application. This is the stage where drawings are needed to ensure that the finer details are included, that products can be priced, samples provided and builders having all of the information they need to build your project correctly. This is also the stage where Building Control will need drawings that meet all of the legal requirements of the Building Reg

Stage 2: 2 Storey Extension/ New House

Stage 2: Garden House

Full Product Schedules, Building Control Drawings, Tender Drawings and Construction Spot Details and helping you get started on site with your builder.
Stage 2: Attic Conversion

Full Product Schedules, Building Control Drawings, Tender Drawings and Construction Spot Details and helping you get started on site with your builder. Further 3D Models if required.
We never ask for Payment until we have completed the Stage offering our Clients Peace of Mind.
