Our homes are important... and with our processes we make sure that your project is a success, no matter how small, how large or how complicated.
At nse we believe that a simplified process is what our clients need and that the quality should exceed their expectations. Making changes to your home is probably the most expensive decision of your life, after initially buying your home, so we make sure that your asset is protected every step of the way through clear process.
Once you’ve registered your interest and we’ve discussed your project normally by telephone, we will arrange to come and talk through your project in person and to help you understand the best opportunities for developing your project.
At this stage we will also explain the full process, the costs involved at all stages of the project and also the timeframe for all of the following stages. We also gather any information such as surveys, the clients brief, your aims and any special requirements.
Most important is guiding you on a budget. We will ask your target budget when we first meet, and we will be clear if your aspirations can fit into a target budget, or what can be achieved with the budget.
Through the design stage, with advice from builders and on larger projects, a QS, ensure that your budget target is maintained.
At the end of the design process we will then tender your project and if budgets are impacted, assist in any value engineering required.
This is probably the most exciting stage other than stage 6 - "moving into your new space".
Our service provides you a proven design experience where we use 3D models, cad drawings, Virtual Oculus and if needed 3D printing to help you be part of an ongoing design process.
In this process we help you be completely part of it and you will never of thought how important you actually are in creating the finished design.
We make your input a fun and rewarding experience.
Once design is complete and we have carried out another cost check for you, we guide you through the Planning or Building Regulations approvals stage.
We even upload the drawings for you, we track the applications and we will actively engage with the planning officers to help secure the result you want... an approval.
This is probably the most daunting stage for a client, but once we have helped you appoint a contractor,, we will ensure that the construction works are supervised and supported and that any impact on your home life during the works is managed and impact reduced, to help your daily family life run as smooth as possible.
We ensure that the Building Control Officers are informed and that your Final Certificate is provided before you make the final payment to the Builder.
Once the builder has left your new home is ready to be enjoyed and your family are ready to experience the dream you wanted.
However learning how to live with new technology, to be energy efficient or to address an issue where the builder or a product needs attention, (what we call a Snagg), we will make sure that your final concerns are listed too, supported and addressed.

We use the latest 3D SketchUp tools to help you understand every area of your design project.
On all of our projects we use BIM and 3D Modelling tools to help our clients experience every detail of the project from planning of areas, detailed use of a kitchen layout or the options of how a building extension will work with the existing house.
We publish at each decision stage a Design Report that will act as a record of how the ideas and how your project has developed, but also allow our clients to review if the design has captured all of their needs and brief.
Our experience lets us guide you through the planning process, and after we get your Planning Application we will detail the project for the Building Regulations Process, the stage where the construction detail is added and allows us to get an accurate price off local builders who we can then tender and appoint for you.
